A winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 2017, Richard Trey Smagur's upcoming engagements include operatic appearances with the Metropolitan Opera and the Reno Philharmonic.  Mr. Smagur recently had a successful run of Don Jose at Houston Grand Opera.

After a house debut and cover with the Metropolitan Opera in winter and spring, Mr. Smagur looks forward to the summer where he will sing Alfredo in La Traviata with Wolf Trap Opera.

Tenor Soloist

(Beethoven 9)

Mr. Smagur makes his maiden voyage to Nevada, where he will join the Reno Philharmonic to perform the tenor solo in Beethoven's 9th symphony.
